It is great to see Clint and Lillian Hawkins back on the CG scene. They have just opened a new website that sells models by some really talented artists. Those who are involved in Poser and Vue will recognize many of the names. I, also, know that there are some other great products on the horizon at YURdigital.com.

The Hawkins have been in CG for over 15 years and have a wealth of experience in marketing and as well as a knowledge of products. Their goal is to have great quality products at affordable prices. Their products include 3D models and 2D backgrounds, textures, plug-ins, music loops, software applications, and more will be forthcoming in the future. In addition, they have discussion forums of different types. Whether you are a 2D artist, a 3D artist, or an animator, you will find high quality and unique content here. They just opened less than a month ago and already they have varied and interesting products. As Lillian stated, "First and foremost, we wanted to give more of the profits to the artists that develop digital art content."

As I mentioned, they also sell music content in their marketplace. When they lived in Atlanta, they had a band. Clint has been playing guitar for 40 years and Lillian plays keyboard and bass.

We have been good friends for about 10 years now. Really, time flies bye so fast it is hard to remember when I first met them. It seems forever. While I met both of them over the internet when I first wrote for a commercial online website, we have seen each other and communicate a lot. I am very excited to see how this site has opened and is growing.

Lillian and Clint don't just say they are passionate about digital art, they practice it by fostering creativity especially by promoting artists in all fields. They are very active in community programs. Lillian has been a Girl Scout leader for 9 years now. Lillian told me, "It's inspiring to watch them take on community leadership roles and try new things." I have often been regaled about some of her and her daughters "Scouting" adventures.

It is obvious, at least to me, that Lillian and Clint are a team. They have been married for 20 years. "Clint and I have a lot of fun working together because we share the same passion. Clint and I have different skills that compliment each other really well. Clint is definitely the more grounded, methodical, technical person of the pair. On the other hand, I am the dreamer, cheerleader, and people person."

I am excited about their website. It is great to see that others share the same feeling I do for their website. In December 2010, Lynette Clee for 3D Artist News wrote a great article about them.
